Coming Soon – IELTS One Skill Retake
Published December 19, 2023

When taking an English language exam, we know that most candidates get the scores they need first time. Sometimes, however, part of the exam does not quite go as well as expected and this can affect your overall average, or an organisation’s requirements for a specific performance in one component of the test. Up until now, a test taker would have had to repeat the whole exam, to achieve a better grade.

But now you can save time and money by not needing to test all your skills again. If you feel you have not performed to your best in all areas, IELTS One Skill Retake can be that help to get you back on track. It is available for both IELTS Academic and General Training tests.

With IELTS One Skill Retake, you have the option to resit any one section of the test (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) if you need to improve on one area, instead of retaking all four sections. After your single component has been completed, you will receive a new Test Report Form showing your updated result.

Available at English Exam Centre from late January 2024, IELTS One Skill Retake is the new way to help you reach your potential and show your full English language ability.

You can take One Skill Retake if you meet all of these requirements:

  • you have completed a full test at our centre
  • your full test was an IELTS on computer test
  • you sit your IELTS One Skill Retake within 60 days of your full IELTS test.
